Our Story
Upon returning from a 30-day inpatient program for PTSD and trauma at Sierra Tucson in 2016, Christina Major was inspired to give back to the community in Keene, NH. The seed was planted by the launching of Cooper’s Crossroad, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization in 2017.
Cooper’s Crossroad engages in raising awareness regarding the impact of adverse childhood experiences and trauma through educational platforms including movie screenings, panel discussions, speaking engagements, and social media. One of the Cooper’s Crossroad programs is Farming for Resilience, a farm and equine based extended learning opportunity which focuses on social and emotional learning. We are excited to be expanding our reach to community members in 2021 with the launching of the “Pathways to Wellness” program later this year.
Farming for Resilience® Program (FFR)
The FFR Program consists of Equine Facilitated Learning with farm exploration, interaction with farm animals and activities derived from the Jesse Lewis Choose Love Enrichment Program ™
