"I strive to give someone else the rope that offers hope of real treatment for pain, addiction, and trauma on SO many levels."
Alone in her car, in a place she did not recognize, on a road she did not know, in a town she'd never seen before, Christina Major was truly scared. Unable to retrace her steps from the night before, she could no longer ignore how she got there - a life of abandonment, sexual abuse, addiction, eating disorders, and self mutilation had obliterated her abilities to cope and function.
Through the devotion, kindness, generosity and wisdom of the people that love her, she was guided to Sierra Tucson, a treatment center dedicated to healing the entire person - the body, mind, spirit, and emotions. In Tucson, the hard work and dedication to recovery solidified and began, and at Cooper's Crossroad, Christina's non-profit organization in New Hampshire, the work continues. Worskhops, retreats, lectures and seminars led by professionals in the field of trauma recovery are offered at its pristine 100 acres of farmland, surrounded by nature's beauty, including horses, cows, dogs, and mountain views.
Christina speaks publicly and openly about her past, using humor and honesty to share the difficult themes of her own journey; eating disorders and over exercise, sexual abuse, grief, addiction, and recovery. Christina is honored to share her story and inspire others. To inquire about booking a speaking engagement or workshop, please email us .
