I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.

And I welcome spring to New Hampshire! The warmth has been so welcome. I rode Cooper today and thought "If I could write a blog on horseback, it would be perfect." Unfortunately that is a bit unrealistic. So I write from my table overlooking the farm. Not a bad second choice. For those of you who do not know, Cooper came in to my life at a crossroad... just proir to the founding of "Cooper's Crossroad". He holds a speacial place in my heart, for many reasons. The organization comes form good grounding...all around. horses help that grounding, and help make the road clear. Go Cooper.

Cooper's Crossroad has been active again this week.

1) We break from our "Farming For Resilience" program for the week as kids are on spring vacation...I miss the opportunity to see them and hope that one day we can offer Farm Camp (which we host during school breaks at the farm) to some of those children!

2) Monthly Informational Meetings - This week we resume with "Finding the right therapist" Thursday evening at the Keene Public Library 7pm- 8pm.........And BIG NEWS Catherine Cauthorine, EMDR therapist, will present on "What is EMDR and how does it help treat trauma?"...May 23. We are THRILLED to have her. Please stay posted!!

3) Miles Towards Melting The Myth of Trauma is EXPANDING!! We will be hosting the annual 5K run/walk on July 21, 2019. THEN our Annual Pleasure Horseback Ride will be held July 28, 2019. Following the same idiolic course from the previous weekend, riders will enjoy the ride, refreshments and fun between 12-3. More information can be gained through our website or contacting me, Christina.

4) Cooper's Crossrroad is looking foward to hosting a Business After Hours event through the Keene Chamber of Commerce. This business networking event is popular. We plan on hosting a unique and engaging evening raising awareness of trauma and adverse childhood experiences. It is scheduled June 5, 2019 5:30-7:00pm. Please join the evening if you are able.

5) BIG NEWS : On World Mental Health Awareness Day October 10, 2019, Dr. Brittany Barreto (a huge supporter of Cooper's Crossroad) will be hosting a fundraiser for the organization at the Houston (Texas) Health Museum. She will speak on the genetics of trans generational trauma. She is a young, powerful and passionalte doctor of genetics, and wise on trauma. This will be a fasinating fundraiser. I plan to attend... yes, I can leave New England occasionally!

6) Cooper's Crossroad (CKM) has been asked to speak on air with The Peak radio station in Southern Vt. I look foward to raising awareness in this way. More ears to hear what we are doing!! I thank The Peak Radio for helping our mission.

May you all enjoy the green of spring blanketing the hills. At least those of us in New England!

Enjoy longer days and the feel of sun, Christina
