Our Story

Upon returning from a 30-day inpatient program for PTSD and trauma at Sierra Tucson in 2016, Christina Major was inspired to give back to the community in Keene, NH. The seed was planted by the launching of Cooper’s Crossroad, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization in 2017.

Cooper’s Crossroad raises awareness of the impact of adverse childhood experiences and trauma through educational platforms, including movie screenings, panel discussions, speaking engagements, and social media. One of the Cooper’s Crossroad programs is Farming for Resilience, a farm- and equine-based extended learning opportunity that focuses on social and emotional learning. We expanded our reach to community members in 2021 by launching Pathways to Resilience.
